Minnie Water – a perfect way to end!

It’s funny. we’ve come nearly full circle – 200 days on the road and now just 300km from home – and we have found one of our favourite campsites of the trip!!

We have spent a lot of time camping in northern NSW and have driven through Illaroo Campsite at Yuraygir National Park, but never stayed.

I know already that we will be back. It ticks all our boxes…a beautiful bush setting an absolute beachfront site, surf for the boys, a long walking beach for me, starry nights due to no light pollution and campfires allowed.

The weather’s been beautiful!  We’ve been swimming, surfing, walking and enjoying time with Tim and Ange, while the boys are stoked to be hanging out with their cousins, after more than a year.

Tim and Ange left yesterday and we had the last night by ourselves in the van before we head home today.

How do we feel????

Well, we would definitely love to be travelling longer. But we need to be home for Drew to start back at work next week – and the kids to start back at school, I guess.

We are already thinking that this hasn’t been a once in a life time trip. It has certainly been an amazing trip, but it’s just a matter of when and where the next one will be…
